During that period, the Cyprus economy was booming and imports/exports to/from Cyprus had seen a remarkable increase. As a next step in 1981, the owner of THAS MARITIME, Mr. Thomas Savvides, established a second company, in Greece: TAS SHIPPING CO.LTD. These companies focused their early activities on the provision of services for the exportation of various goods to the Middle East.
